Taiwan Hua Lien Part 2

Day 1: We reach Stonehouse almost about 3+pm in the afternoon. Once we settled down, as shared in my last post we went to the beachside...

Our first night, the drivers from Stonehouse drove us to Miao Kou Night Market which is only about 10 minutes away.

This is the recommended must eat stall by the drivers... Gong Zheng Bao Zi aka Xiao Long Bao! Eh.. but their Xiao Long Bao is different from what we eat usually in Singapore.

This is their Xiao Long Bao! It tasted like chicken bao to me but overall not bad. We also ordered their noodles but I won't not recommend to anyone cos its really tasteless..,

Miao Kou Night Market is actually not very big. The driver gave us 4 hours to roam around but me and dear walked about 2 hours... After that...

Starbucks time!!! To catch a rest... we did not buy much things over there but really to experience the night life and slow life in Hualien! Simply enjoyed it, no stress, no worries...

Day 2: Taruko 太魯閣

We booked a cab for whole day to Taruko arrange by Stonehouse. We paid NT2200 for travelling around 太魯閣. Our driver is called Liu Da-ge!

太魯閣 is a protected area due to the nature beauty. Many people come here to experience the nature feel and some even do hiking... My suggestion is to dress and wear something comfortable.

You can even see grandma walking...

Beautiful views...taken all around Taruko

Can you see a indian chief's figure?

We took the risk to go down...just to touch the water....you can see it from Dear's HAPPY face!

This is where we came down "illegally" ....

Standing on the bridge... I don't like the feeling...

Our lunch set...each NT220

Last few pics before we left....Dear trying to action....

There were many "pit stops" at Taruko. We spent like about 6 hours around there before heading to "Qi Xin Tan". I definitely would want to go back to 太魯閣 to enjoy mother nature!

Day 3: Whale & Dolphin Sightseeing...out to the Pacific Ocean!

It was quite a windy journey out. I wore shorts and a thin jacket and hurr... it's cold!

Dear looking like paparazzi....and me...COLD!!!

It was about 1 hour out in the sea before we...SPOT...DOLPHINS!!

It was an amazing sight to see dolphins!! We got to see 2 types of dolphins but sad to say we didn't managed to see any whales. Overall it was a great experience. It costs us about NT800 per pax for the sea journey and its worth it!

Our decorations...among the midst....

Last few pics before we left...

  1. Hi Jasmine! May I get the contact number of Liu Da Ge? :)

Is his vehicle new? His driving skills safe?
