PM Dept Muar Trip

This is my first department trip since I joined last year May! We are going to Muar for sight-seeing and to eat durians, seafood etc...

We are supposed to gather at 645am at Tan Quee Lan Street and bus to leave at 7am. But the bus was so late, only came at 730am!!!

While waiting for bus, the ladies and Clarence took a photo together!

Finally after 45 minutes, we reached the checkpoint and it was consider normal for me. The crowd is not as scary and as much of what I had expected as been hearing all the different "news" after Malaysia implement the finger scanning system.

A warm welcome by our Malaysia colleagues....

Breakfast at 10am! Courtesy of our Malaysia colleagues....

Our Keppel project in Malaysia!

With the girls: Grace, myself, Shiyi, Lillian, Joey & Amanah

We had our lunch at almost 1130am at Niyumaru where we did a private booking for 30 of us! The food is so cheap, a set meal cost about RM16 whereas a premium set meal is about RM29. Compared to Singapore, this is so so much cheaper.

We were each given a budget of RM30 so a few of us decided to order different dishes to share....

Immediately after lunch, we travelled for another 1.5 hours up to Muar where the rest of the team fall asleep after a sumptuous lunch whereas Christopher aka Chris (our GM) is still so awake. Of cos, me and Amanah also can't get to sleep until much later where we only rested like 20 minutes?

We arrived Muar about 2+pm and went to the restaurant where we will be having our durian and seafood dinner....

Durians...

Durians.....

and more durians...

The durians are so nice that a handful of my colleagues "packet" them back. 2 of them even had plastic containers which they brought!

Our main organisers, Amanah & Sue! There's also Daniel inside this photo who is also overseeing this planning *Cheers & Claps for them*

Soon after, we went for our Muar River Cruise which is scheduled at 5pm...

Some sceneries...

Mosques

Bridge + A eagle birdnest that has been there for years (accordingly to the local guide)

Monkeys and "Birdnest House" where its specially meant for harvesting of birdnest

Soon after the boat ride, we went back to the restaurant where we had our durian earlier! Dinner Time *Ring* ... All of us are still so full from the eating...

It was a "Fishy" Feast for us! We were so full that the whole table ordered only 5 serving of rice where there were 8 of us. We were eating non-stop the whole day!

三色奶茶 (Wheatgrass with tea and milk)

Sound not appealing but it turns out well.... Very refreshing drink!

After a long day, we departed Muar at 730pm and arrived back at Singapore about close to 11pm...Oh did I mention I was the game master on the coach? Haha, but we only played one game!!! It was a fun and enjoyable trip!

Our group photo to end off....
