Phuket - Day 2

It's been more than 3 weeks since I last blogged! I missed blogging but these few weeks had been very busy with work and school. Been working on almost every Saturday and Sundays too.... Let me continue with my Phuket Part 2!

We started off our morning having our breakfast at our hotel.

Plentiful of jams flavors to choose from...

Beside these, each person is allowed to order a set of American breakfast which you can choose either scramble, poach egg or omelette . It comes with sausages, ham, baked beans, mushrooms. Pretty sumptuous and filling.

After breakfast, we went back to hotel room to slack for awhile before making our way out. We planned to go shooting range, ATV etc to start off. Initially we wanted to take a tuk tuk to our first destination which is the nearest and I read online that each tuk tuk trip is charged 200 baht. There was a tuk tuk in front of our hotel lobby just nice as we left so we approached him.

We told him where we wanted and when we reached the shooting range, Dear decided to ask the man if he is willingly to be booked by us whole day at a price of 1000 baht. The man who cannot speak proper English agreed to our deal immediately. My thought was that probably he cannot get much business by waiting around as tuk tuk business is very competitive at Phuket.

The tuk tuk are in red color! Dear enjoying the wind...

We went to Patong Hill shooting range which is less than 10 minutes away from our hotel. One round of the shooting range is pretty expensive. Dear chose the beretta 0.45acp pistol while I took the glock 0.38acp pistol. Different guns cost differently so we paid a total of about 3000+ bahts for around each.

It was pretty fun but yet scary experience as the gun shot is very loud thou I wore a headphone over and the heat from the rounds touches my hand was hot! Up next, we went to ATV which is next door!

We went for 30 minutes of ATV which cost us each bout 1400 baht. We were accompanied by 2 of their staffs who guided us to the hill area. I had some difficulties while turning and hit the trees 2 times. However it was a nice experience and I enjoyed it.

The staff spotted a banana tree and plucked a bunch to offer us to try. It was so mini and taste is bitter that comes with many small seeds. We then travel another 30 minutes to try out elephant ride.

We paid about 1190 baht each for 45 minutes ride. To my horror, my elephant guide is just 12 years old kid! The ride was not smooth as the elephant does not listen and kept throwing temper. I was scared till my tears was almost out!

Bought this souvenir for 300 bahts...

This is the elephant that threw temper but yet we bought some bananas at 100 bahts to feed him.

There is also a new born elephant delivered in February....

After the elephant ride, we went to the Premium Outlet which is another almost 40 minutes ride back toward Phuket Airport. There are many shops over there such as Nike, Converse, Triumph etc. The place is are pretty quiet, with handful of tourist perhaps it was a weekday. Of cos I bought some ladies inner wear as it is so much cheaper in Thailand compared buying in Singapore.

We were getting a little hungry so ordered some snacks...

A beautiful purplish sky while on the way back to hotel...

As the night approaches, the night life in Phuket came alive again! Saw this interesting signage while walking on the street.

I was craving for some Thai food so we went around walking hoping to see one that will attract us. We managed to find this Sawadee Restaurant which is run by a family consisting of a couple and their daughter.

We ordered quite a bit of food... Dear's beef noodles! Fantastic...

Chicken fried rice..Nice

Tom Yum Soup which is not spicy for us...

Chicken Green Curry...

Had a breezer on the way back to have a good night sleep... haha

Hopefully I will find some time to do the next blog meanwhile its time for me to catch up with my school work! Stay tuned...
