Ol Boy - Fulfillment of a Dying Wish
Recently read and watch the video of OI Boy which is a stray dog who was rescued and cared for in this last days. As I watch the video, I could not control my emotions and cried seeing how helpless OI Boy was but yet still struggling to keep himself alive to live through his last days in happiness.
Credits to Dr Siew Tuck Wah, below is the brief details and a video clip of OI Boy.
Ol Boy was a stray dog who a member of the public spotted to be in distress and asked us to help him. What started out to be a routine rescue turned out to be a lesson in life and death which I will never forget.
All sentient beings, humans and dogs alike, should be allowed to die in dignity.
Run free, Ol Boy.
Our Street Dogs only ask for food, water, shelter, and our companionship, yet that is not easy to come by in an urban city like Singapore where they are an eyesore and constantly persecuted.
I am Dr Siew Tuck Wah, president of the non-profit animal welfare group, Save Our Street Dogs.
Visit our website and facebook to learn more about our rescue work, and how you can contribute to making Singapore a better place for our street dogs.

Above post is a personal post of how I felt after watching the video. I was reminded of the dogs my family used to had and how much my Dad loves these friends of his. Being a owner of a pet is easy but better a friend and companion of one takes effort and love. I believe that everyone can be kinder to animals and treat them with respect and dignity.
Let's continue to love these pets!
