Mother's Day Dinner - Nahkon Kitchen

Nahkon Kitchen is just less than 5 minutes walk across my place and everytime I go past, it is always full house and you can see long queues. My mum also mentioned before to me that she noticed the crowd and seems interested so we proposed to go there for Mother's Day.

Me and Dear went over about 545pm and there was already a small queue in front of us. My mum and brothers came shortly and we queued for about 30 minutes before we got a seat. The staff took our orders first while we were in the queue so the food  and drinks came about 10 minutes after we got seated. We ordered quite a variety as the portion seems to be small.

We thought that we could start off with the Thai Mango Salad ($5) but it was the last dish to served to us. Nevertheless the salad was good and my mum loves it. I would recommend if you can take a little spicy and love mango.

Thai Green Curry - Highly recommended... Yummy all of us loved it! We ordered a second serving as the portion is a little small. My younger brother was waiting for it to come to go along with his white rice.

Pineapple Fried Rice - Nice! We ordered a second serving also.

Thai Fish Cake ($4) - Not bad, similar to otah...A little pricy for just 4 pieces...

Stir-Fried Spicy Kang Kong - Dear says its nice though I did not eat much of it...

Spring Roll ($4) - Not bad but also a little pricy for 6 pieces...

Spicy Tom Yum Soup - Not bad but personally I feel it can be a litte more spicier!

Stir-fried Pork with Basil Leaves - Not to our liking...

Omelette Egg - Just our typical omelette eggs we cook at home haha!

Mango with Glutinous Rice... ($5) - Not bad, the rice is hot while the mango is cold so the combination is nice!

We also ordered the pandan chicken but didn't managed to take any photo as our table is already full with dishes so we put it directly to our individual plates when it was served. Overall we enjoyed the dinner and spent $90 for all the above including drinks which is priced at $3 for thai ice-tea/coconut.
