Phuket - Day 1 (Part 1)

My long awaited trip in midst of busyness.. Phuket!

Phuket is just 1.5 hours from Singapore. If you are sitting at window seat and almost preparing for landing, do take a look and you will be greeted by these beautiful scenery!
Clear beautiful sky and see through waters around the islands...

Phuket Airport is very not very big so the moment you stepped out of the arrival hall, be prepared to be approached by many cab drivers or private companies for their services. We took one of their offer and paid 600 Bahts to Patong Beach. Some may quote higher than that so do bargain.

I read online info and many of them mentioned that that 600 Bahts are the norms unless you want to take their mini van (which you share with other travelers to same area but take longer time) or bus (there is different timings to catch).

Our cab is Toyota car and the journey to our hotel at Patong Beach is about 45 minutes.

Took this photo map which I found it on the cab...

Finally we reached our hotel! Safari Beach Hotel...

Our hotel room...

Bathroom...

Jacuzzi and swimming pool...

Ours is considered a good budget hotel so not too bad... As we took the earliest flight at 820am (Singapore time) and reached our hotel about 11am (Phuket time), we rested a while before we went out to walk around! Phuket is one hour behind Singapore time.

Sunny day at the beach...

One of their night bars at Bangla Road. Our hotel is just less than 5 minutes walk to there...

One of the many "tuk tuk" that you can take just from the streets...

There is this shopping mall " Jungceylon"...

Jungceylon offers a great shopping and dining experience in it's 2 floor shopping mall. It includes a department store, boutique shops selling branded names, a movie theatre and an IT & mobile phone section.

I was a little hungry so decided to get a pie snack from Mac...

They have something else different - Chicken Ham Pie!

The taste of the chicken ham pie is like eating a slice of hawaiian pizza ... Well not bad!

We went back to hotel to rest and change to prepare to go to "FantaSea" show which I will share it in the next post. We managed to take some shots of the early evening before our pick up comes.

Stay tuned for my next post on "FantaSea"!
