Taipei Day 2 - Jiu Fen 九份, Yeh Liu 野柳 (Part 1)

Day 2: We had checked with the hotel reception and got the directions on how to go from Ximen to
Jiu Fen 九份. Actually it is not that difficult. Take the train to 忠孝復興 (Zhongxiao Fuxing) and take bus no.1062 (基隆客运, Keelung bus).

Upon reaching 忠孝復興 (Zhongxiao Fuxing), you will be greeted with colorful wall designs...

Nice display...

Once you reached 忠孝復興 (Zhongxiao Fuxing), check for which exit/control station to ask for which exit to take bus no.1062 (基隆客运, Keelung bus). Upon boarding, each person will receive a bus card which you will return and pay NT102 for the bus journey which is about an hour to an hour half depending on how fast the dirver drives also when you exit. Remember to sit on the left side of the bus to enjoy a better scenary.

Note: There are taxi drivers who will be at the bus stop trying to get you to book a day package with them. If you think the price is reasonable and you wanna cut down on travelling time, you can consider taking their offer.

Of cos, we didn't take their offer but we took the bus instead...the bus card that they issue you so you remember to pay when alight. Red card - pay by cash, Blue card - pay by card (similar to our ez-link)

Got this shot when the bus stopped at a traffic light. This is their petro station which I also didn't know that they also have 92,95,98... haha

Finally we reach Jiu Fen 九份...

Us with the beautiful blue-ish scenary...

Foooodd......

We actually climb down and explore which me and Dear didn't do it the previous round when we came in April...

This caught my attention....

You can check out my old post on Jiu Fen 九份.

At Jiu Fen 九份, it would be easier to book a cab to Yeh Liu 野柳 which is about 40 minutes ride and cost NT900... along the way we decided to book the cab all the way till Danshui 淡.

Us at Yeh Liu 野柳 entrance...

Yeh Liu 野柳 is a very beautiful place....you will be amazed by nature view!

A group photo....

Empress's head... This is the main icon of Yeh Liu 野柳... You have to queue up to take photo with it.

Can you see the shape of a slipper and a face...

Note: Bring/buy mineral water cos it can be quite hot at times. If you  are afraid of UV, bring an umbrella....

Stay tune for my Taipei Day 2 (Part 2) in my next post...
