Chong Qing Grilled Fish

Met up with Ashley with our common friend, Lionel who came back from Holland for holiday sometime back ago. The last round he came back , I remembered we went to Aston at East Coast Road. This year, Ashley suggested going to Chong Qing Grilled Fish which she enjoyed the food and wanted to recommend to us.

I heard that this place is quite popular and crowded after work hours so need to do reservation. I managed to do reservation for us at 715pm that day. We arrived early about 650pm but were not allowed to seat as the person say our booking was at 715pm only! Gosh in the end we went walking at Bugis Junction before heading back there at 715pm.

The place was crowded and thankfully we sit just at the table near the door area so it was not that stuffy. We ordered 2 sides dishes and the main spicy fish which you can add additional items like cabbage, potato etc at additional cost.

Cannot remember what is this dish called but it is sliced thin pork marinated with spicy sesame sauce which is very tasty!

Another side dish is the cucumber which is very crunchy!

The main dish....FISH...

It is actually a whole fish and spicy enough to sweat you out!

We enjoyed the food and catching up. After dinner, we went over for some desert before making our way home! Hopefully Lionel will be back in Singapore soon for another catchup!
