South Korea 2013 Day 4-5 - A day in Busan

Wow, finally I am back blogging after my final term exams finished on wednesday! Time to catch up with my long overdue korea trip blog.

A day in Busan - (First night in busan) It was about 10+pm (seoul time) and we were famished! We went round looking for places to eat but most of the eateries were closing/close so we settled for a typical bbq shop. It was really a korean bbq roadside store where there is no english word!

The menu was in korea so I was worried how to order food! Thank God for hubby who tried his best to speak very simple korea and managed to order 3 different pork for bbq!

The food is simply fantastic! Hiding form the cold wind and enjoying fresh cooked food!

As our hostel is very near to Haeundae Beach, we took a walk toward there which was about 10 minutes.

Haeundae Beach is a very popular beach among locals and tourist. Many consider to be Korea's best beach. Although it is winer/spring time, you can still see many people enjoying the sea breezes and taking photos.

I managed to get a good shot of a seagull while trying to get as close as possible.

Busan Aquarium is also located there. We bought the entry ticket which bundled together with Madame Tussaud but the exhibit is located at Shinsegae Centum City. The package is about 21,900 won per pax.

Interesting poster and this huge fish resting between the corals...

The aquarium displayed many types of marine life and they have super big fish and medium size sharks...

After spending an hour plus at Busan Aquarium, we went on to Madame Tussaud exhibition which took us about 15 minutes to walk through as it was very small. The one in Hong Kong is much better.

Another tourist hotspot is Jagalchi Market! The Jagalchi Market (자갈치시장) is Korea's largest seafood market. This is where you can see the lifestyle of the indigenous Busan natives. You can buy the seafood here and eat it fresh!

Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park is a popular landmark of Busan. Busan Tower is 118 metre tall. The first floor of the tower is a souvenir shop that sells Korean traditional handicrafts.

At the top is an observatory (designed after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple) where the entire city of Busan can be seen.

BBQ Dinner near our hostel. The dinner is more on the expensive side as we included beef in our order.

The food was very delicious, the meat was fresh and sweet. The ahjuma was helping us to cook and teaching us how to eat it in the correct way with the different side dishes and sauce. She also tried to strike a conversation with us and of cos the quiet me still don't understand what she talk while my hubby understand minimum and tries to reply her! Haha... The meal itself was about $70+ which is worth the money!
