Taipei Day 4 - 烏來 Wulai, 師大夜市 Shida Night Market

Day 4... Time flies and its my 4th day and 2nd last day in Taipei... Gosh! Our plan for today is to go to 烏來 Wulai, 師大夜市 Shida...

You need to travel to Xindian Station. Exit right towards their bus area and wait for bus 849. There would be some taxi drivers trying to get you for a ride to Wulai at NT400 but personally I don't think it worth it cos taking public transport is more worth of money...

First view at Wulai

Long red bridge...

Visitors' Museum which share histories of Wulai...

The young ones in the past at the age of 14 will have to go through tattooing which symbolises maturity and stepping into adulthood. Different tribes will have different tattoo patterns...
This tribe here is showing the people of Atayal (泰雅) which is one of the biggest tribe in Taiwan.

Dear doing some stamping...

Our final end... I realised that they are teaching their language...

Traditional clothing...

We took a mini train which cost NT50 per pax per ride...otherwise we would need to talk for another 20 minutes to the waterfall area...

Their ticketing counter...

Mini train... *Tu Tu*

When you reach the other end, you would see the visitor centre and it also display their history items. Did I forgot to say that both museum and visitor centre is air-conditioned! You would be gladly to walk in and stay there cos the weather can be quite hot!

Beautiful waterfall scenary...So peaceful just to admire the nature!

We walked up about 2-3 stories of stairs to reach the cable car station. Before we went up, we were considering if to walk up this stairway as shown below...GOSH! I duno how long is that, can't even see the end point so in the end we gave it a miss.

At the cable car station. Each person cost NT220. There is only one cable car at one time at both end. So we need to wait for awhile to "get more passengers" before it departs. Just a short ride of 5mins but you can get to see the whole view of Wulai!

We continued to track up to explore the area and found this mini waterfall...

Mum feeding the koi! They sell the food per packet at NT10 using a vending machine similar to what we can find in our Singapore Washroom...

2 big boys playing...

After walking for about an hour plus, we went back down and headed for "Wenquan" which is the highlight of this trip. We googled a few places the day before deciding to settle for Full Moon Spa Hotel thou the reviews say its a little more pricy compared to the others...

We paid for 2 private rooms for an hour (about NT790) and comes with a complimentary drinks. Our spa as below...

I enjoyed the spa cos I have been looking forward for it. By the time we left Wulai, it was about 7pm. So we headed back to hotel to unload and have dinner at Ximending before heading to Shida Night Market. We went to a Japanese Ramen restaurant just opposite our hotel on the second level...

Their side dishes...Yummy!!!

Yummy Pork Ribs!!! Must try...

Main noodles, the soup is good!

We walked around Ximendingfor a while and Dear went to "Stay Real" to buy clothes...

Check out their website at: http://www.istayreal.com/

We took a cab to 師大夜市 Shida Night Market which is very cheap...

We ate alot of small snacks which is simply tasty...

I managed to buy a very nice necklace at NT300! This necklace is usually wore by blogshop models and the price they are selling quite expensive. I just saw it recently at Far East and I am glad that I bought it cheaper (",) Enjoyed my Day 4...

That's the end of my recent Taiwan post! I don't have much to post for Day 5 so will be starting to post new things! (",)
