I managed to cover 2 movies (Smurfs and one more movie) which was released sometime back. As I could not really sleep, I only rested like for less than an hour during the 6 hours flight to Korea!
And finally...we touched down
The first thing that greeted me was 7-11! Their 7-11 were filled with all travel necessities at the front shelves in case any visitors need it. I would say that it is quite convenient and they are always well-stocked. But of cos, the cost would be a little pricer...
As we arrived about 10+pm, waited for almost an hour for all our tour group people to gather, another 1 hour journey to our first hotel which is in Incheon. We checked in about 12+pm! Our hotel is Best Western Songdo Park Hotel located at 93-1 Songdo-Dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.
Presenting our hotel room....
As we had early dinner on the flight, we asked our tour guide if there is any nearby food area that we can go and buy food but he say it is very far. However daring of us, we went out ourselves and walked to where we recall seeing 7-11 and makan place while our tour bus went past.
A view from our hotel room...
We walked along the side path of the huge park and found this place called chicken678 to eat...Pardon me for the below photo as I only wanted the details after I had used it. My iphone could not take good pictures of the restaurant...
We ordered 2 types of chicken - One is the fried type and the other one is like sweet and sour flavor which is quite nice! In korea, they would typicall serve some side dish like preserved radish etc which they have it too...Anyway this meal cost us about 30000won which is about $33.
The next day, we woke up early at 630am (singapore time 530am) as we are to gather for breakfast at 730am before we depart at 830am for Everland! The journey to Everland took about 2+hours before we arrived at their bus terminal where we need to change to Everland shuttle bus.
While queuing for shuttle bus, there are these cute vending machines at the side...
There were so much tourists waiting however thankfully their shuttle bus comes very quickly so we only waited like 10 minutes to board the bus. A quick 5 minutes journey up and we arrived at Everland entrance!
Just at entrance while waiting for our tour guide, Andy to purchase tickets...
The weather seems sunny but actually it is cold... brrr... I can't remember exactly what's the temperature but on average it was about 0 degree to -5 degree. Thankfully they have those standing heaters which we seek comfort over there!
Even the staff is wearing thick clothings...
Snapshots of Everland...
Me with animals... haha fake animals...
Me and Dear trying to show our "cold air" but failed...
Us sitting in the bus shuttle which takes us into the mini zoo where the lions, tigers, bears roam around...
Shots from my digital camera on the slow moving bus...
This bear was actually just next to our bus driver and he was giving instruction to the bear to turn. Every time the bear gets it right, it will get a treat from the driver!
Cute kois which I managed to get them close enough...
As the tour group were left to explore ourselves in Everland, we had to settle our lunch using a voucher issued to us. There were a few cafes/foodcourts for us to go to and at each place, we were restricted with 2-3 main set course due to the vouchers. Eventually we settle at the nearest cafe after we came down from the bus ride.
The one on left is mine while other one is Dear's. Each meal is about 7000won. Mine was udon noodles with fish skewers and fried dish while Dear had fried fish and beef. The soupy udon was hot and it was very comforting to me as the weather was cold!
After lunch, we managed to catch hold of some of the mascots and took some photos with them...
Something that we didn't tried as the queue was very long....
There were carnival game stalls around so as usual I asked Dear to give the shooting game a try as everytime we will play when we go overseas. However this round, we did not managed to win any prizes.
Another photo on their theme entrance...
We also went to see their sea life show...which is quite typical of all sea shows we see but the animals were really intelligent as they incorporate into a storyline.
We did not managed to finish Everland and moreover it was quite cold that day too. We spent about 5 hours there and this is our last shot before we left...
Coming up, Korea Day 2!
